From May 11th, the swimming area is open on weekdays from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on weekends from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
From June 24th to August 31st, this is daily from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Swimming is only permitted when the green flag is raised.
Outside of these hours, the beach and sunbathing area are freely accessible, but swimming is prohibited.
Free open water swimming takes place only in June, July, August, and September on Thursdays from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Adjustment: Starting the week of 16 September, the hour will change to 6 to 7:30 PM., for visibility on the water (gets dark earlier).
There are 2 lifeguards on duty, and reservations are not required. In exceptional weather conditions such as thunderstorms, the event may be canceled.

Admission is free, no reservation required.

Not from Ghent and over 12?
Reserve your ticket for 1 euro until 9:00 AM on the day itself.
From 9:00 AM, the price is 5 euros, available online or on-site.
Sport and Recreation Park Blaarmeersen is easily accessible by public transport.
Regular buses operate from both Gent-Sint-Pieters station and Gent Dampoort station.
